Mission and Purpose
The SFVA provides a strong united voice for vendors.
Building bridges:
- With the media:
We have appeared on CityTV Goldhawk Live, CBC News, CBC Radio One, CIUT Radio, and in the Toronto Star, National Post, and the Toronto Sun. - With the City:
We have developed relationships with City staff, Councillors and Tourism Toronto to advocate for our interests. - With BIAs:
We have the support of the Entertainment District, St. Lawrence, Yorkville and Downtown Yonge BIAs (Business Improvement Areas).
SFVA will provide education to its members informing them of their rights & duties. We will also work to set standards and help our associates in attaining and maintaining these standards. We will also provide help, support and advices to our members to help them to build and improve their businesses.
We strive to operate in a transparent fashion to promote trust and respect.
Vision for vending in Toronto:
Vending is a contributor to vibrant and safe city streets, affordable food in the city, and Toronto’s job market and economic development.
